My approach as a painter focuses on representing simple scenes with absolute naturalism and rawness, through figures and portraits. In this painting, I have sought to create an intimate atmosphere that allows the viewer to emotionally connect with the work. Naturalism and the idea of the unknown are a way of evoking feelings in the audience, who are not left indifferent and question the reason for the scene, recreating part of it and giving it continuity outside the frame. The figure of the young woman in this painting is the central point of the work, symmetrically placed in the center of the canvas. I have sought to capture the raw and natural essence of the scene through an alla prima technique with broad and energetic brushstrokes, which blend together to create an effect of movement and vitality. The young woman in the painting has her hands on her face, pushing her cheekbones down, which creates an emotional tension that draws the viewer in and invites them to contemplate the scene more closely. I have used a reduced palette to focus on the most important details of the figure, highlighting her features and facial expressions in an emotive and natural way.
