About The Artwork
A pop-science painting combining the high energy of the Large Hadron Collider and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. I enjoy smashing together disparate passions visually and seeing what connections get made by the viewer. In my ongoing work with the "Splice Series" I've brought visually striking images together on a flat surface to mesh their compelling formal features (line depth color etc.), but give them new, unexpected context. My hope is that this work can serve as a high energy tonic for the mind, an intellectual motivator to prod the viewer toward their own creativity. The painting is on heavy duty stretcher bars and heavy canvas. Ready to hang.
