The gesso panel was prepared by hand 'old fashion style' with the layering of gesso and then sanding back. I decided to work across 2 panels to form a diptych using thick and thin layers of oil paint and a variety of applications. Paintings can be hung together or apart, changing the context and readings possible from the works. I've title my works after music listened to in the studio, that in turn relates to the artwork produced and perhaps how I felt at the time of making. Water. landscapes and voyeurism re-occur as themes in my abstracts and I believe these recent ones have been influenced with my time spent in Spain.
