Some days you are given a gift of seeing the beauty in this world that leaves you speechless in its beauty. That is what happened with this lovely egret I saw who was out hunting for minnows. I read poems that bring me to tears in the poets ability to express what they see, I long to paint that way. I hope whoever views this may remember times of unspeakable gifts of beauty or joy that they are given often so unexpectedly. No need for a frame, sides are painted. Wired and ready to hang.

I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, USA and after living many other places am once again living in Raleigh, NC. I love painting landscapes using either a brush or palette knife with oil. I love the texture a palette knife brings but what ever tool I use I paint more impressionistic. I only use my own photographs for my work to inspire me or to get me going. I hope my art makes one see their own surroundings with new eyes, and want to look at my paintings as a window to a place they may want to be or visit.
