About The Artwork
The work is one of the larger pieces in a series looking at the human senses acting as a filter on our chaotic environment. So much of the natural forces that surround us are imperceptible due to the way our senses have evolved. The idea is that the 'fracture' forms in the foreground show a simplified view of the chaotic realm behind. The painting sits an ascending arrangement of predominantly sky blue prisms above an ambient primordial sky of whites, oranges and buff titanium. Reds give passion, life and resistance to the composition, whilst connecting confidently the back and foregrounds.
