About The Artwork

Inspired by the coral rocks of the Colombian sea, it evokes the complexity of two seemingly different yet intrinsically connected universes. It's part of the "Rocks" series, where each piece is an invitation to introspection, to explore the essence within each of us, to relive our journey. "Encounters," on a geographical dimension, represents two homes that mean a lot to me, Argentina and Colombia. The piece was painted in my studio in Colombia and brought to Argentina because it will be in exhibition for a month, at Casa Foa 2024. Beyond geography, these two worlds hold a more intimate, sensitive symbolism. They are facets of the human experience: the bold courage to pursue our dreams to infinity, and the vulnerability in facing our fears with delicacy and wisdom. I want this work to be a self-applause to those who choose every day to write their own story, tracing paths on imagined trails. At the same time, I aspire for it to be a source of inspiration for those of us who are searching and feel these words resonate deep within us.
