About The Artwork

I painted this painting under the impression of an allegory story. Death with a Scythe came to the blacksmith and asked him to sharpen the scythe. He says: “I can’t believe I’m holding a weapon in my hands that has mowed down so many people.” Death replies: “I didn’t kill anyone, not a single person! It’s you who kill each other and blame me.” "I used to be a beautiful girl. I met the souls of people and escorted them to their resting place. And today I put on black clothes so that the blood on me would not be visible. I put on a hood so that the tears that I cried would not be visible, because I cannot stop this horror of your hatred: these wars and blood. And today I am an old woman. It was you who made me like this,” said Death, took the scythe, turns and leaves. And then the blacksmith quietly asks her: “Why do you need a scythe?” And she says: “The road to Paradise has long been overgrown with grass.”

Can an artist rediscover the world? Yes, if the artist has a visionary gift and can look deep into things, not just the surface. Then a painting is not just the artist's self-expression, but a letter, message to people or a specific person where the visual artist talks about something new. I like working with different techniques: watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pencil. Each technique is a world that enables the artist to enter and use his magical properties. In my paintings I strive to convey feelings of peace, joy and sometimes sadness or movement, hope, renewal. If the viewer gets inner feelings or has thoughts through his perception of my paintings then the message has reached its destination. My paintings are in private collections in Norway, Finland, Russia and Germany.
