About The Artwork
Inspired by Frida Kahlo and Day of the Day celebration. I chose to make slight strokes of color on her face mask and let the skirt mixed with the background so that the focal point is in her eyes and her soft smile. Frida painted most of her self-portraits with tears or with a serious expression but I am pretty sure she had fun times. I hope the the viewer feels the calming effect this painting emits. Acrylics, metallic wax, high quality art colored pencils, paper. Wood panel 11 x 14 i x 0.75 inches. Ready for display on your wall.
