Through my work I want to show the culture of the original peoples, the sacred mountains that for them were a symbol of protection, it is where the ancestors live, they are providers of water sources and outcroppings, places where they performed ceremonies and rituals. There are legends that give an ancestral sense of the origin and location of volcanoes and mountains. They have been found at more than 5,000 meters high, constructions of small walls in the shape of a circle and stone platforms, with traces of ceramics and offerings. I have always felt that my paintings are seen from above the earth, so it made a lot of sense to paint these sacred peaks seen from the sky, I have a fascination for Google Earth, I think it is incredible that we can all see the earth from our computers , so I marked the sacred peaks of the Atacama sector in northern Chile, with their exact coordinates. Each summit has its history and characteristics, I tried to capture that magic, that sacredness, of each one.
