About The Artwork
I am a big fan of Popart and especially Roy Liechtenstein. I wanted to try and use free shapes instead, typically the shape of a certain item, in this case the binoculars, and to tell a story with my painting. At least giving hints away to some story that everybody is invited to make up in his own world of phantasies and dreams: island, yacht, beautiful woman, airplane circling around the island.
