I was interested in the deep shadows that describe the form of the horse, he is quite thin in this time. Also the subtle reflections of green blue and and yellow of the surrounding. Maybe it is hard to see this in the photograph. It is an oil painting on canvas from life, alla prima ( in one go). The painting comes in a wooden floater frame ready to hang.
