About The Artwork
Shortly after 11am on the 9th August 1945 the atomic bomb "Fat Man" detonated above Nagasaki. The heat generated by the bomb was hot enough to instantly combust materials and melt glass. Up to 75,000 people are believed to have died immediately after the explosion.
