The view of the room is borrowed from the interiors of the wonderful designer Pierre Yovanovitch. Although it shows a contemporary house in Greece, it remined me very much of the traditional interior architecture of the late 19th, early 20th century traditional Balkan atmosphere. The predominant colour palette varies from grey, burn umber and ochre nuances, to splashes and highlights of yellow lemon, ultramarine, cobalt blue and crimson. On some areas, like the table and corners of the wall, a pure illuminous titanium white has been applied in a thick, impasto layer. It brought me joy making the artwork, because of my heritage link to that part of Europe. The painting is on a stretched canvas and can be hand directly or a hardware can be installed on the wooden underframe.

I studied Fine art at "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" University of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. In 2001 I obtained my master degree in painting with the speciality of Pedagogic of Fine Art. In 2003 I have completed an extra mural course of education for acquiring additional professional training in the speciality of Painting. My mentor was Professor Nicolai Ruschukliev. I thoroughly enjoy painting landscapes, interiors, still-life, figures and portraits. The oil impasto technique, provoke me to build a thick texture, often using a palette knife or finger strokes. Because of the vibrant and bold colours I use, a great part of the forms appear distorted, less defined and even abstract, until observed from a bigger distance. With the portraits, I prefer to explore a more precise, realistic approach, as it helps me to reach the character of the model and I am aware that there is a diametric opposition between the figurative and expressive appearance of my art. natashakamburova.com
