About The Artwork

Mixed Media, Illustration Board, Wired through Canvas. Part of the "Constructs of the Mind" Collection inspired by studies in mindful awareness. INSPIRATION: Let’s be honest. How many times have you so desperately tried to ensure an outcome, that you took the hard route, fighting against the current? In our attempt to hold onto control, it happens all the time. This piece is based on a philosophy from Esther and Jerry Hicks, which urges us to point the boat downstream. Letting go is far from giving up, rather it attunes us to our intuition and energetic aligningnment. Next time you feel resistance, drop the oars. “Pointed Downstream” features a cascade of individual boards, each representing a single decision, that collectively lead effortlessly downstream.
