'LIMITLESS', the very reason behind Emelie's new-for-2024 'E D I T E D' Collection, is inspired by the young entrepreneur Stacey Solomon. Emelie had the privilege of meeting Stacey earlier this year at a business event with her business mentor Theo Paphitis, and came away overwhelmingly inspired. Stacey began her journey in the public eye as a young mum on Xfactor; timid yet with an undeniable confidence about her. She shocked the nation, and has continued to do so ever since. This year has seen Stacey invest in her first small business, alongside various other projects and clothing lines she has built up long the way. This, juggled with raising a family, is why Emelie could not help but paint a portrait of this incredibly strong-willed, kind, funny, true-to-herself woman. Using her signature style, Emelie stripped down the layers that make Stacey who she is. She takes a portrait and fragments it into varying colours and flows of paint, so the depths of personality can be seen and, perhaps more importantly, felt. Years of influence, experiences, input from internal and external factors, as well as a persons true make-up from within, encourages Emelie to use her style of painting to really delve into the unknown with the result being a bold and intriguing portrait such as LIMITLESS. The brilliance of colour shown in the soft body acrylic and spray paints is stunningly set off with the resin glitter in the background. LIMITLESS is a show stopper, much like the young woman it depicts.
