just a leaf Artwork

A collection of 20 small mixed media paintings of leaves. I am fascinated by the beauty, patterns and colours of leaves and had absolutely enormous fun playing around with different mediums, techniques and materials and seeing how they work together. The images evolved using processes such as cyanotype, monoprinting and painting and were worked into further with inks, dyes, pastels, alchohol markers, gouache and gold leaf on to card, tin foil, tissue paper, watercolour paper, and yupo paper. Some of the images are highly textured and some glossy and smooth. It was quite difficult to take a photo of the whole ensemble and capture all the detail because of the different textures and finishes, so please refer to all the close up photos also. The images are fixed to thick black painted card and presented in a simple white wood box frame.
