About The Artwork
"Iluminata" was chosen for an international book of Painter digital works. The book was titled "BALLISTIC PUBLISHING'S “PAINTER: THE WORLD'S FINEST PAINTER ART.” Mylor, Australia. I'm pleased to announce that my limited edition print "Illuminata" was chosen to appear in this book. The announcement read: "Ballistic Publishing is proud to announce its next title 'Painter' showcasing the world's finest artwork using Corel's natural media painting program Painter. Painter will maintain the award winning quality that Ballistic Publishing is renowned for and will feature the world's best Painter artists." The book was published and distributed in February, 2006. My image is shown on p.156. I particularly like the way the colors turned out and the dramatic light quality. Each of these prints is limited edition, archival quality signed and numbered print.

For me, painting is always about color, visual communication and searching for the unique or unexpected. My style emphasizes color and shape relationships, textural surfaces and enjoying the accidental and the spontaneous. I work with conventional media using acrylic on canvas and watercolor on paper. I also create artworks digitally using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and Corel Painter. Always, I feel the overriding desire to speak sweetly, yet boldly, in the realm of visual communication using color and shape, imagination and surprise, spontaneity and the accidental to create a "magical reality" for the viewer.
