The poem entirely inscribe the sentiment of the writer away from his homeland. 月落烏啼霜滿天， The moon descends, crows caw, frostiness fills the sky; 江楓漁火對愁眠。 riverside maples, fishermen's lights, facing me in my worried sleep. 姑蘇城外寒山寺， Outside Gusu city lies Cold Mountain Temple; 夜半鐘聲到客船。 at midnight, the sound of bells reaches the ferries.
