Karl created a series of brass etching studies of the front elevations of Hawkmoor’s six London churches designed and built as part of the 1711 parliament Act for the building of Fifty New Churches in the Cities of London and Westminster or the Suburbs thereof. Editions available for sale both individually and as a complete collection from Saatchi Art. Edition 1/5 was auctioned for charity Article 25 in November 2020. The auction raised over £34,000 for the charity. Congratulations to the lucky bidder.

Karl Singporewala RWA RIBA is an architect and artist living and working in London, UK. He is also an elected Royal Academician at the Royal West of England Academy of Art. Karl’s art work focuses on scale, emotions, and witnessing. Using Computer Aided Design, laser cutters, photo etching and 3D printers to communicate ideas, follies and symbolism; his output usually takes the form of a series of maquettes or scale architectural models. Karl currently presides on the RWA Academician Council and the Exhibitions Advisory Committee. In 2023, he was a selector and curator in the 170th Annual Open Exhibition at the Royal West Academy, Bristol. Karl was awarded 1st prize for excellence in art and architecture by visiting professors from Nagoya University, Japan and University of Seoul, South Korea in 2007 and voted the HIX art award People’s Choice winner in 2014. His art work also won the inaugural Royal West Academy Art Prize for a work by a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic artist at the 168th Autumn Exhibition in 2020.
