An image of paint splashed on a wall of a cabin of a barge that was cut off and set aside as a storage shed in Kingston, NY. At the time this image was made, only myself and a few others were specializing in the medium of color, due to the fact color prints faded. (However, I processed my film in such a way that it has kept in it's original condition all these years.) I persisted though feeling that it would come into it's own. In the late 70's, I was represented by the Alonzo Gallery in midtown New York City. This image is one of my most iconic and popular. It was once auctioned on the PBS online auction fundraiser in New York. It was exhibited in Sotheby's in New York. It was part of many exhibitions in the 70's, including Nabisco Brands Corporate Headquarters, and it was published in a feature about me in the second issue of COLOR, July 2009. The image reminded me ofa painting by Robert Rauschenberg. This is a pristine new print, made from a scan of the Kodak Ektacolor Professional negative. It was made by me and is one of a possible edition of 20 plus two artist's proofs. The advantage of purchasing this print is that it is much more stable than the original C print, which has faded. It is also the best print of the negative that I have ever made. It was made on an Epson Professional printer with archival pigment inks, which have a longevity of well over 100 years. The print is made on 22"X17" Epson Exhibition Fiber paper, which gives it a true photographic look as well as detail and saturation. There is a border of 1 inch on the sides, and 1.6 inches on the top and bottom. I have titled and numbered it on the bottom left, and signed and dated it on the lower right, in archival pen.

BLACK FRIDAY SALE ON MY WEBSITE https://russmartinandmarciamartin.com Mr. Martin is a citizen of the USA, having been born in upstate New York State and spending his youth in the small rural village of Clinton. Because of this exposure, and frequent trips to their summering spot in the Adirondack Mountains, nature became a part of him. Naturally, it would become expressed though his art, which was inspired by his father, a part time professional photographer and amateur watercolor painter. When he was young, professional cameras were ever present, as well as a fully equipped darkroom. There was a mystique about photography, and "that place", that he wanted to know, so he convinced his father to teach him. Thus began a life long career as a fine art photographer. Later, he went on to study fine art photography at college, and earn an MFA in photography so as to be able to teach photography on the college level, have time to produce his work, and earn a living from what he loved. He was a fine art photography teacher for over thirty years, and is now retired, having done so in 2008, to concentrate full time on his work. Over the years, Mr. Martin has won numerous awards and feature articles have been published about him in national and international publications. Recently, his pictures have been featured in the UK, Australia, and the USA. His flora images of hosta plants have won first place awards in the Prix de la Photographie, Paris, the International Photography Awards (The Lucies), and the International Garden Photographer of the Year.
